BEAUTY OF THE BALKANS

ALBANIA

Albania is a small, mountainous country in the Balkan Peninsula, with a long Adriatic and Ionian coastline. It’s like the forbidden apple: don’t bite it or you’ll want it all the time. Albania lies in the southwestern portion of the Balkan Peninsula bordered by MontenegroKosovo, Macedonia and Greece. 

The capital and largest city is Tirana.

KOSOVO

It is an independent country in South Eastern Europe, in central Balkans.  Neighbours are Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro. Most of the Kosovo's borders are dominated by mountainous or high terrain. The capital and largest city is Pristina.

NORTH MACEDONIA

It is a country in the Balkan Peninsula in Southeast Europe. A landlocked country, the North Macedonia has borders with KosovoSerbiaBulgariaGreece and Albania. The country's geography is defined primarily by mountains, valleys, and rivers.​​​​ The capital and largest city is Skopje.

MONTENEGRO

The capital and largest city is Podgorica, while Cetinje is designated as the Old Royal Capital. It is a meaning of "Black Mountain" - a sovereign state in South-eastern Europe. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the southwest and is bordered by Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania.

CROATIA

The capital Zagreb forms one of the country's primary subdivisions, along with twenty counties. It is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, on the Adriatic Sea. Croatia has an area of 56,594 square kilometres (21,851 square miles) and a population of 4.28 million, most of whom are Roman Catholics.
