WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO

Dubrovnik's pleasant Mediterranean climate and plentiful sunshine have given the region a rich biodiversity. With over 250 sunny days a year, the near-perfect weather conditions and warm sea have made it a perfect holiday destination. 

  • Most rainfall (rainy season) is seen in January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December.

  • On average, the warmest & driest month is July and August.

  • On average, the coolest month is January.

  • November is the wettest month. This month should be avoided if you don't like too much rain.

 

The seaside resort of Dubrovnik is still fairly warm during October but the temperature is noticeably lower and rainier than the summertime. October's average daily temperature is about 18°C . In summer average temperatures climb well over 25°C.

In winters temperatures are mild making it a year-round destination. 

WHAT TO PACK IN THE SUITCASE

In winter: in the inland Croatia region, pack warm clothes such as; a sweater, a cardigan, a hat, a down jacket, a scarf, gloves, a raincoat or umbrella.
In summer: in the inland Croatia region; light clothes, a T-shirt, but also long pants, a light jacket and a sweatshirt for the evening; also an umbrella. In Dubrovnik and the coast: light clothing, possibly a sweatshirt for the evening, especially in June.
